Furyan interview about his upcoming album “Bass Journey – A Journey Through Memory”

“I went back to the roots… but also moved forward with the sound design.” Furyan on his upcoming ‘Bass Journey’ album!

Masters of Hardcore’s own Furyan is without a doubt, one of the most unstoppable artists in the scene. His impressive discography continues growing and developing with bold and diverse party bangers. In October 2021, Furyan will release his second artist album “Bass Journey”; a futuristic album that’s inspired by the roots of hardcore. Sound interesting? Then read on and catch more info about the album!

1. Hey Furyan! Thanks for the catch-up in this year’s MOH Magazine. How have you been these days?

Hey there! Still standing strong despite the whole “situation” we are in now.

2. It’s been a long while without any events. How did you cope during this period?

It happens I’m one of the few who got a PlayStation 5 from the start. I did game a lot last 1.5 years. And of course, I’ve been working hard in the studio on my album and other various projects.

The weekends are boring sometimes; I really miss boarding a plane with no sleep…

3. What did you do to keep busy? Pick up any new hobbies?

My PS5, and the gym where you can find me 4 times a week. Didn’t get any new hobbies…

4. Word on the street is that you’re working on your new album. Can you share everything we need to know about it?

Oh yeah! I’ve been working on it for the last 2 years, and really put the pedal to the metal last 5 months. You can expect pretty aggressive and fast tracks – for sure it’s faster and more diverse than my first album.

5. What’s the album inspired by?

I went back to the roots… but also moved forward with the sound design. The idea was to have a kinda “rave” sounding album with oldschool sounds and futuristic sounds. Just imagine a ‘Kokeen’ and ‘Bass Journey’ type of sound ;).

6. What sort of music can we expect to hear on the album?

– H A R D C O R E –

7. Which artists have you worked with and why?

There are various collabs on the album, but the most exclusive one is a really fast track with Empyrical Noize & Vorwerk; yes Vorwerk, the infamous ghost producer. It was really interesting to work with him and learn in the process.

8. Before we go, do you have any last words for our readers?

Really looking forward to all of your reactions on the ‘Bass Journey’ album, and hope to see you soon at any rave worldwide!

Thanks Furyan for the catch-up! His album “Bass Journey” will be released on Masters of Hardcore on October 8th. Pre-order and pre-save begins on September 24th. Stay tuned on our social media for all announcements concerning the album.
